Alexandra Steinacker-Clark is an American-Austrian art historian, curator, writer, and podcaster based in London, UK.

With experience at some of the art world’s most prestigious institutions, including Galerie Max Hetzler, Skarstedt Gallery, Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, Shezad Dawood Studio, the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, and Sotheby’s Auction House, Alexandra brings a wealth of industry insight to everything she does.

She is the founder and host of the All About Art podcast, which deep dives into a wide range of career paths in the arts and cultural sector. According to Spotify Wrapped 2022, the podcast ranked in the top 10% of the most followed and most shared globally. Alexandra is also the co-director of NXT GEN: AWITA x All About Art, a professional network that hosts talks and events to support early-career arts professionals.

So without further ado…

What career advice would you give your younger self?

To try and enjoy the process. It’s easier said than done, and I am trying to remind myself of that even now. It’s hard to keep faith that everything will work out, especially when you have goals and desires that you are unsure will come to fruition. I would tell myself to rest assured and that even if you didn’t get what you thought you wanted at the time, the right things will come your way and everything will work out for the better.
